My Neighbourhood is a group of projects focusing on neighbourhood development in the Harrogate District.

Each project aims to target areas in Harrogate District that have local issues of low skills, deprivation and or other disadvantages and to empower individuals at a local level so they begin to manage their own communities. This is part of the Government’s Localism and Big Society agendas.

The projects aim to establish and service multi-agency partnerships for each area and identify the specific issues of concern by agencies and local communities in each Ward.  NYLC are involved in community consultation exercises aimed at all groups within the communities, ie, older people, young people, residents with additional barriers, low skills, unemployment etc to produce an action plan for each area, utilising existing resources where possible and filling any gaps in resource with these funds.  Specific localised projects are being and will be developed in each area.
